Case: Oil Spill solutions

On MIND course, a group of students got their task: Rethink oil spill solutions! Finland has a kilometres of coastline, thousands of islands and numerous oil tankers passing. An oil catastrophe would be a national disaster. The current oil distruction measures are not enough and most of them concentrate on collecting the oil from the sea.

Case: Rethink seminar!

On MIND course, a group of students got their task: Rethink seminar! In Finland, every day hundreads of seminars are being ornanized and in these seminars there are thousands of persons sitting. A large amount of working time is spent in seminars but where are the results? Organizing seminars is big business that hasn’t been developed further in the last years.

The group of students had to challenge the conventions of the seminar business and to develop a new seminar concept. They also had to create a functional protoype of their seminar, and this prototype was in use the couse final presentations event on December 7 2010!

On MIND course, a group of students got their task: Rethink time! In our world, time is related to everything be it work, leisure and dead lines; summer time and winter time; lunch time and
so on. How could Finland challenge the conventions of time? How could Finland gain competitive advantage if we would have a somehow different relationship towards time?
